Our client is seeking a Sourcing Representative to support the procurement of mining consumables and fixed plant services. You’ll drive sourcing initiatives, support supplier negotiations, and collaborate with internal teams to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure reliable supply. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement category strategies for mining consumables and fixed plant services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.

Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, category management, including market analysis, supplier identification, RFx development, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations.

Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) initiatives to enhance supplier performance, ensure continuity of supply, and foster innovation.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, maintenance, and finance to identify procurement opportunities and achieve cost reduction targets.

Monitor and analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier landscapes to inform sourcing strategies and mitigate risks.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and ethical sourcing practices.

Manage procurement data analytics and reporting to track category performance, savings, and supplier KPIs.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Support contract lifecycle management, ensuring supplier deliverables align with contractual terms and business needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.

9+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sectors.

Strong knowledge of mining consumables and services categories, including heavy mining equipment spares services, explosives, shotcrete, roofbolts, drilling consumables and services, conveyors, maintenance and engineering services.

Proven track record in developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver tangible cost savings and operational improvements.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience with procurement technologies and ERP systems (SAP, Coupa, Ariba, or similar).

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.

Knowledge of contract law and risk management principles.

Preferred:

Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Supply Chain/Operations).

Experience working in remote mining operations or FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) environments.

Certification in procurement or supply chain (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent).
